The following should be the settings of your IMAP Server:

  • Your Name: The name you entered while creating the Cox account
  • Email Address: Your Cox account email address along with @cox.net
  • User Name: The first part of your Cox email address, without @cox.net.
  • Password: The password of your Cox email account
  • Account Type: IMAP
  • Incoming Mail Settings
    • Server name: imap.cox.net
    • Port number: 993 with SSL enabled and the authentication box checked, if available
  • Outgoing Mail Settings
    • Server name: smtp.cox.net
    • Port number: 587 with TLS enabled and 465 with SSL enabled and the authentication box checked, if available
  • Use SSL / TLS
    • Yes
    • Cox user name and password required

Note: Make sure that the user name and password you enter are the same as the ones you use to access your Cox email account.

POP or POP3 Server Settings

The following should be the settings of your POP or POP3 Server:

  • cox.net: Incoming POP port: 995
  • cox.net
    • 587 with TLS enabled
    • 465 with SSL enabled and check the authentication box, if available
